Depression is much more dangerous than it looks. Before you know it, you’re sucked so deep into it, the way out seems impossible. Something very similar happened to Molly Murphy. She came back home one day to find something on her bedroom mirror that left her teary eyed. Tim Murphy wrote down 15 reasons why he loved his wife, Molly Murphy, on their bedroom mirror and it was the sweetest thing he could have done for Molly, considering that she had been battling depression. Molly took a picture of the list Tim had made and posted it online.
“Trying to do well at work. Just got married. Couldn’t afford a wedding. Family is sparse. Falling out with friends. But the thing is, amidst all the struggle, my husband has relentlessly tried to cheer me up. I’m not the easiest person to deal with. In fact, sometimes I’ve lost all hope and even taken my frustration out on my new husband. But somehow he forgives me every time. He knows I struggle to see good in the world, and especially the good in myself. But here it is. A testament and gesture of his love. Damn, I needed it today…”

All it takes is a small gesture to make a big difference to someone’s life. Appreciate people for who they are, show them that you love them, remind them of all their wonderful strengths. One nice thing you say to someone could mean the world to them.
